RSG Offers New “Tranzillas™” for 426 Hemis & Dog-Ring Syncros for Racers

In this day of humongous big-blocks, turbos, blowers and nitrous, the transmission of choice has become Rockland Standard Gear’s Tranzilla™, a 1200-hp capable Tremec® T56 six-speed manual transmission. RSG’s new Tranzilla T56s can take virtually anything you dish out – even big-block power up to 1200hp and 1000 ft./lbs. of torque. To essentially triple the load capacity of a stock Tremec T56, RSG installs 9310-alloy gears cut with a 22-degree Helix angle, teamed with a tough 9310 main shaft and a host of other RSG upgrades. They include: Corvette-style triple cone synchronizer technology coupled with carbon fiber synchro rings, steel 3-4 shift forks, and heavy duty bearings, All internal rotating parts are blueprinted and balanced, and RSG meticulously performs the critical task of performance shimming gear end clearances.

When introduced last year, RSG’s Tanzillas were available for all 6-speed Camaros, Firebirds, C5 Corvettes, Mustangs, Vipers, Cadillac CTS-Vs, Pontiac GTOs and anything else retrofitted with the popular T56. RSG also offered four different gear sets from a wide-ratio 2.98 first gear, to a road-race/close-ratio 2.29 low gear box. With two more gear sets in between, there’s bound to be ratio that fits exactly what your car needs. New for ’07, RSG is offering Tranzillas for Hemi and big-block wedge Mopar muscle cars, capable of harnessing the Hemi’s brute torque while providing excellent overdrive ratios for touring.

Other big news for RSG in ’07 is the availability of “dog-ring” style synchronizers for most applications. This is a racing modification that enables shifting without disengaging the clutch for quicker shifts in competition situations.
