What most people don't realize is that installing a set of drop springs without addressing other components will degrade handling, traction, and ride quality. The NEW BMR S197 Lowering Package (P/N LP001) comes complete with everything you need to drop your Mustang 1-1/2 to 2-inches the RIGHT WAY, resulting in improved looks and improved suspension geometry.

The new BMR 2005-07 Mustang Lowering Package includes springs, an adjustable panhard rod, control arm relocation brackets, front camber bolts, and upper strut mounts. BMR Springs are specifically engineered around OE specs to maintain OE ride quality. Since the S197 Mustang is equipped with a panhard rod to locate the rear end in the chassis, altering ride height can shift the rear end to the driver's side up to 3/8-inch. An adjustable panhard rod is necessary to re-center the rear end. BMR panhard rods are equipped with grease fluted polyurethane bushings. Lowering a Mustang also changes the rear control arm angles, altering the vehicles "instant center" location. Relocating the control arm mounts on the rear end re-gains and improves upon the original geometry. The OE struts also have no provisions for camber adjustment, so lowering the car even one inch creates too much negative camber, causing premature tire wear. BMR camber bolts provide up to 2 degrees of camber correction. Finally, unlike most strut-equipped vehicles, the S197 Mustang comes with throw-away plastic upper strut mounts that are only good for one-time assembly. Re-use of original strut mounts often result in a "popping" sound heard while turning. BMR provides new strut mounts to avoid this problem. Retail price for the complete LP001 is $499.95.
